Down here in Florida, the weather has been blessedly cool, and even the slow-to-bud trees are showing a little growth. Yesterday I spied a tiny flower on one of my strawberry plants, and I'm confident that by this time next month, I'll have put my velveteen stretchy pants away . . .

The final book in the Emissaries series, it wraps up some of the stories from. books one and two, as well as presenting new characters from Rome. Finally, I learned some sad news this week--my younger sister Dana, only 60, has passed away. She had been dealing with liver failure and other health problems, and it looks like she simply passed in her sleep . . . and that's a mercy, isn't it? Still, it was unexpected. My husband and I will be traveling to the Cocoa Beach area this week for her funeral. I've been reminded of something--we have to cherish our loved ones while we have them!
