Summer News from Angie!

Hello, VIP reader!

Expect the Unexpected . . .

I hope your summer is off to a great start--I can't believe we're almost through July! The past few months have just flown by.

You may have seen that the second book in the Emissaries series is now available--THE SISTERS OF CORINTH. You won't miss anything if you didn't read the first book, THE WOMAN FROM LYDIA, but you'll enjoy the third book, THE DAUGHTER OF ROME, a bit more if you've read the first two. THE DAUGHTER OF ROME releases in March 2025, which feels like it's right around the corner!

Are you fascinated by the Old Testament stories? I am! I just started writing a new series set in the Old Testament: The Matriarchs. The novels will tell the stories of Sarah, Rebekah, and Leah (and Rachel) using the Bible and some ancient extra-biblical material that I've found fascinating! I can't wait to have these come out.

The other night I was at our messianic synagogue, which has a special time for prayer requests and praise reports after the service. I had just finished writing the scene where Isaac was born, and it took everything in me to NOT raise my hand to praise God because a ninety-year-old woman had a baby! I was all caught up in that miracle, only something God could do! I can't wait to finish these stories and get them out to you.

I've been experimenting with AI (artificial intelligence) image creators to create images to inspire me as I write. Below you'll find a few of these images--the first is of Sarai when she and Abram set off for Canaan, the second is Sarai in Pharaoh's court, and the third is of Sarah when she had Isaac. It's pretty amazing to see what AI can do!

If you know someone who would like to write for publication, they may be interested in my newsletter for writers, WRITE WELL. The monthly edition is free, and weekly editions are available for paid subscribers. The world needs more skilled writers to spread the good news, so I hope you'll encourage the fledgling writers in your family. To subscribe, just click the box below.

One more bit of news, and then I'll let you get back to your summer. If you're in the Hot Springs, AR area, I'll be in the area at Scrivcon, a writer's conference, in November. But I think they're having book signings open to the public, so drop me a note if you're nearby and I'll let you know what's up once I know. I'd love to meet you!

‘Twas the Week Before Christmas a special story from me to you! Jeff Parsons was a pastor with a secret: until a week ago, he hated Christmas. He didn’t hate the idea behind Christmas, of course. He was grateful Jesus came to men by way of a cradle, and even more grateful He brought men to God by way of the cross. But Christmas had become so much more—shopping and pageants and parades and Santa and an endless amount of whoop-de-do and fa la la . . . After twenty years as a pastor, Jeff was...
